Smelting
The highest quality primary ingots are used for billet casting- The Tai-Ao smelting facilities include 3 x 24MT smelting furnaces, 3 billet casting machines and 3 x 30MT homogeneous furnaces
- Alloys ranging from 100 series through 7000 series are available
- Spectrometers imported from Germany are used for alloy analysis
- Sophisticated in-house laboratory facilities are used for all composition analysis in accordance with BS1474:1987 (UK) and GB/T5237.1-2000 (China) standards.
Moulding
Imported die manufacturing equipment includes: CNC lathe machines, CNC drilling machines, CNC controlled EDM machines, die tempering furnaces and nitration
furnaces. The highest quality German steel is used for the production of all dies. A team of experienced technicians ensure that our in-house die production facilities are capable of meeting the most exacting requirements.
Extrusion
Tai-Ao has a range of imported extrusion presses enabling production of aluminium profiles to suit most applications.
- Presses range from 550MT to 2600MT
- Minimum thickness for extruded profiles is 0.8mm
- Maximum circumscribed diameter is 340mm
- Seamless and drawn tubes are available from a minimum internal diameter of 10mm to a maximum outside diameter of 100mm
- All extruded profiles are produced in accordance with ASTM B221M-88 (US), BS1474:1987 (UK) and GB/T5237.1-2000 (China) standards.
Fabrication
Tai-Ao is able to offer customers a complete 'one-stop shop' service by utilising our in-house fabrication division. Services include hole punching and drilling, cut to size, processing, assembly, accessory fitting, stamping, mesh expanding, mechanical polishing etc. Tai-Ao also have 4 drawn tube production lines to satisfy high precision requirements.
Tai-Ao is able to offer a wide range of finishes for its extruded parts. Finishing options include anodising, powder coating and liquid painting to meet your requirements.
- Imported plant and equipment incorporating the latest technology includes: 10,000 Amp, 8,000 Amp and 6,000 Amp rectifiers, 6,000 Amp and 5,000 Amp colouring transformers
- A full range of standard and bright dip anodised colours are available and precise colour matching is guaranteed
- Standard anodised colour are available to a maximum thickness of 40 microns
- Quality standard are in accordance with BS1615-1987 (UK), JIS H8601-1992 (Japan), DIN17611-1985 (Germany) and GB/T5237.2-2000 (China) standards.
Powder Coating Liquid Painting
- The latest technology has been imported from Australia and Germany to ensure world class finishing is achieved
- Powder and pre-treatment chemicals are imported from Australia and Singapore
- Powder coating line imported from Australia and liquid painting line imported from France
- Tai-Ao is able to meet the following standards: AAMA2604 (US), Qualicoat (Australia), AS3715-1989 (Australia) and GB/T5237.4-2000 (China).
